When the City of North Vancouver needed a visibly attractive retaining wall for the residents of 21st Street, the project was tendered out for bidding. Southwest Contracting provided and excavating and shoring for the underpinning and Raincity followed with rockwork � carving over 1000sf of rockwork in just one day. Given the residents proximity to the project (the wall loomed over 21st Street�s opposite curb), the City found a product that was functional, met engineering specifications and was visually stunning. With indigenous landscaping, the wall blends back into the natural environment, more than can be said for the 100 year old telephone poles the wall replaced.
