Creative Director: Mark MacIsaac:

Mark MacIsaac was born in Vancouver in 1974. He grew up in Vancouver as the oldest of four siblings and graduated high school in 1992. Mark�s interests include music, sports, and travel. His love of beaches has lead him throughout Central America, Southeast Asia and Southern Europe. Mark�s introduction to this work began immediately following graduation when he began working with Creative Rock and Waterscaping. With a great work ethic and skills beyond his years he was quickly designing and managing projects both residential and commercial. After four years with CRW Mark was ready for a new challenge and a chance to learn from an artist whose work he admired.

Mark joined Arcon Rock and Waterscapes in 1996 for the opportunity to work with Peter Heiss who was hired as artistic director. The move was worthwhile as Mark�s skills as a sculptor, painter and designer blossomed under Peter�s guidance. Over the next several years the two worked together on hundreds of projects including The West Coast Exhibit at the Vancouver International Airport, The Pacific Exhibit at the Vancouver Aquarium, and the Spa at tigh-ne-mara resort. When Mr. Heiss left Arcon in 2002 Mark was promoted to artistic director and designed and sculpted many high profile projects including rock star Chad Kroeger�s infinity-edge pool in 2004, which has been featured on MTV�s Cribs.

Operational Manager: Malcolm MacIsaac

Malcolm MacIsaac was born in 1985, in Vancouver British Columbia and graduated from the Prince of Wales high school. With a passion for athletics, he captained several volleyball and soccer teams, and subsequently accepted the head coaching position fo the junior girls volleyball team. As a young man he served at tow Vancouver�s top restaurants where he developed a strong work ethic and a touch for client relations.

Upon graduation Malcolm carried on his family�s heritage and followed his uncles, cousins, and brother into the artificial rock industry. During his first two years in the industry, Malcolm�s enthusiasm and willingness to learn all aspects of the business helped him become an integral part of his crews. After a series of trips to South America and Europe, Malcolm�s study of a variety of rock formations led him to a greater admiration for the artistic prowess of master carvers Mark MacIsaac and Peter Heiss � he resolved to learn the trade.

After extensive talks with Mark and Peter it became evident that Malcolm�s managerial skills and his knowledge of the industry would be a valuable asset in the new company. Malcolm is very excited about his role as operational manager of Raincity Rock and the feeling is mutual: his competence and reliability are invaluable.

Business Affairs: Ryan Spong

Ryan has spent the last 10 years in the financial services industry, both in Vancouver and Toronto, as well as in London and New York. A native Vancouverite, Mr. Spong returned to Vancouver in 2004 to form Main Street Advisors, a boutique finance shop. After working in the financial planning sector in Toronto during 1996 and 1997, he returned to Vancouver in order to complete his Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia in 1999.

Having found his taste for finance, he completed his Canadian Securities Course during his final year at UBC and took an entry level position at the Bank of Montreal. During Mr. Spong�s 2-year tenure at BMO, he completed his Conduct and Practices Handbook, Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing Course and was registered as an investment Advisor responsible for trading several million dollars in daily client transactions.

In April 2001, Ryan resigned from the Bank of Montreal and moved to Toronto in order to pursue a Masters of Business Administration at the University of Toronto�s Rotman School of Management. In June 2002 Mr. Spong was recruited by UK-banking giant Barclays PLC to work for their Investment Banking group Barclays Capital at the Head Office for the Americas in New York. As an associate in the Debt Capital Markets group covering the Power and Utility sector, Ryan was part of a small team that raised and placed several billion dollars in investment grade corporate debt. He wrote and passed both the Series 7 and 63 exams with the NASD, licenses to deal securities in he US.

In December 2006, Ryan joined his long-time friend and artist Mark MacIsaac to form Raincity.
