Tofino

The spa at the Tofino residence in Rosie Bay is a three-tiered, multi-faceted hot tub and water feature. Taking his cue from the surrounding rock, Mark MacIsaac's self-described masterpiece is the result of several months of design, factory work and site finishing. The upper two-person spa overflows into a waterfall that guards the mouth of a cave on the main level of the spa. The opening beside the upper bowl leads down into the cavern allowing for ventilation and natural light. On the main level, the open area leads through the waterfall into the cave and is a relaxation centre, complete with jets, underwater lighting and speakers for soothing sounds and party tracks alike. This level overflows once more into the bottom pool which can be heated, or left cold for refreshing plunges or hot summer days.
